Why it's Important to Release Stress and Ways of Doing it?

A lot of people stressed out by problems in life, abusive relationships, uncomfortable situations they get into and other things believe that keeping their negative emotions in their soul and hiding them from everyone is a sign of being a strong person. A lot of the time they will never talk to anyone about their problems and keep all pains, anxiety and worried to themselves. However, what does this result in? Do their problems get solved just because they've been concealed? And of course they do not. On the contrary, they pile up and the person develops depression or other emotional problems because they have something that burdens their heart and they never remove this burden.

As a result, such people tend to become withdrawn, aggressive, unsocial and are not much fun to be around any longer. Their friends often back off and their relationships with close ones fail. Hence, emotions that aren't released don't make one appear as a better and stronger person, they rather make them appear as an angry and unhappy one and often end up ruining their whole life. That's why in Japan they even put figures stuffed with rugs of politicians hated by most people or some celebrities whose personalities most people dislike or disapprove of so common citizens can kick them or tell them whatever bad words and get rid of anger and negativity dwelling in their minds that way.

Of course, most of us don't live in Japan. Yet, talking to a counselor or a trusted friend, letting yourself show anger, pain or other emotions in the form of spoken words or years is another good and safe way to release stress and let it leave your soul. When a person confidentially reveals their emotions to a trusted person it doesn't make them weaker, it simply removes the burden of negativity from their soul and helps them keep acting in their regular way without getting angry or depressed.

It's not the only way, though. Often therapists recommend a person that's got hidden fears, anxiety, anger or other emotions destroying their life to do art therapy. Just draw or paint your feelings and emotions in any form! And if you aren't a good painter at all, that couldn't matter less. Even if just throwing some paint with passion on a piece of canvas can help you ease your heart, it's a good thing to do! Yet another efficient and safe way is to imagine a certain object in your room is a human being (but since of course, it really is not, it may be easier to reveal all your secret feelings to); and then speak to it, cry in front of it, yell at it and even kick it instead of kicking someone you are angry with. Your emotions will be removed from your heart and nobody will get hurt.

Everyone has stress in his and her life. How much stress you have and how you handle stress has a lot to do with how it affects you. So if you really want to deal with stress and live a life that is stress free, make use of the following tips and you'll be better off.

Dealing with Stress isn't Easy But Traveling the World and Making New Trusted Friends Helps!

Problems at work or in the family, romantic affairs that don't work out, communicational problems with other people and many other things often bring us stress leading to depressions. Some of those can be so severe they almost leave the person dysfunctional. And all these negative situations tend to happen unexpectedly so most people they happen to are totally unprepared to dealing with stress.

So what's the best way to resolve problems and get rid of the emotional issues they brought? Psychologists often tell us to be positive and start looking at life with more optimism. And yes, being an optimist does help. However, very often it's really difficult to regain your optimism once you lost it for one reason or another without the help of friends and family. And the biggest problem here is that normally the reason for losing positive attitude is lack of understanding from family and friends. So things almost get to a dead end: those who need the support of close ones the most, lost it even before they got a bad need in it..

So is there a way out? Lots of psychotherapists, life coaches and other specialists offer psychological support to those who are going through a difficult phase in life. Would it be worthwhile to use the services of one of them? Being a counselor and consultant myself, I would say a definite "yes", as people who have a chance of "talking off" their problems often feel better and more relieved emotionally and find their depression reduced or gone.

However, beware of the fact, choosing your therapist or counselor is not an easy task. Getting counseling from "just any advertised" specialist in the field of psychology is not a way out at all! If you choose your counselor basing on how famous they are and how many university degrees they've got you are making a mistake. The choice of person to help you with your emotional problems should always be based on your personal feeling about them.

If your prospective counselor makes you feel like a patient even if in a most reputable doctor's office and doesn't give you a feeling you could have a trustful friendly relationship with him, he's probably not going to help you much regardless of how great his credentials are. Being able to have a totally open conversation and tell your counselor anything that's on your mind is a must if you want him to help you reduce your depressed moods. Counseling does help, but it has to be done with someone who really cares and makes you feel comfortable to reveal even your most secret thoughts to them.

Before choosing your therapist always ask yourself: Does my prospective counselor make me feel like a patient in a VIP doctor's office? Or does he rather make me feel like a compassionate pal I can talk to about just anything that's on your mind? And choose the one you will give a "yes" answer about in the second case.

Reduce stress by meeting interesting people and making new friends in Ukraine, one of the beautiful and touristic countries of East Europe!

The Way to Reduce Stress May be More Simple Than we Think

A lot of people in seemingly economically advanced countries visit licensed psychotherapists and take antidepressants hoping to cope with stress and depression. They often spend thousands of dollars on all of those but in many cases only end up getting addicted to some expensive meds, while as soon as they stop those, their problems return. At times in a worse form than before.

When I was traveling to places like Dominican Republic, India and some other countries where half the citizens don't even own a computer and the only thing to drive they have is a bicycle, I found them to be ways much happier people than those I met in the wealthier and more developed places of the world. They are friendly, smiling and they take their life as a gift from God that should be enjoyed instead of getting focused and depressed over each little problem like many of us do in West Europe and USA.

When I talked to these people I realized a big part of it is the fact they have closer family and social links. They have a mom, dad, brother, sister and a neighbor next-door to share their worries and concerns with. And when their families and friends will listen to them and support them willingly instead of saying "I've no time for your problems" like many people will tell their friends and close ones in the western world.

"But I'm living in this western world where everyone's too much stressed out and got too fast a pace of life to give a helping hand to a close one.. What do I do?" you may wonder. Well, even in this western world by far not every person is unfriendly and unhelpful. We can still find help and understanding from others even in countries where it's rare to find. The only problem is we tend to choose the wrong people to be around, and that's because..we attract the sort of people that are similar to ourselves!

And, in fact, we should start with ourselves and become more helpful and understanding towards others in order to start changing our circle of friendships and communications to a better and less stressful one. Help an old lady to carry her groceries home. Ask a young lady crying in the street what had happened and talk to her. Give a smile to a kid in the street who looks upset. Don't send your mom away to the house for the elderly but rather let her enjoy the atmosphere of her family's place and the care of her close ones as long as she can.

Once you become a more sympathetic and understanding person you will begin to make many more friends. And they will also be more quality friends! There's no country where good people and values like mutual support and understanding totally vanished. It's just that we attract the same sort of people to us as we are.

So when you become a better person you will also get better people around you. And when you'll be going through tough times you will have friends who will listen to you, hear you and help you too! When you'll be aging and sick your kids won't send you out of home to the facility for aging people. And what's even more important - being friendly, positive and kind to others by itself is also a form of self realization that helps one feel more useful and appreciated in the society; and is hence a simple and efficient way to reduce stress.

Feeling lonely and upset? Tired of dealing with stress ? Or just feeling like a conversation on the subject you don't trust other people around you enough to discuss?

Common Myths About Counselling

Recent studies report that 20 percent of people living in the UK have worked with a counsellor or psychotherapist at some point in their lives. Furthermore, nearly 50 percent of Britons knows someone else who has. Yet, many people who find themselves struggling with depression, anxiety, addictions, or simply feel weighed down by the problems in their lives resist turning to counselling services. They may have heard certain myths about counselling that simply aren't true or no longer apply. Here are a few of the most common myths about counselling and the truths that can dispel them.

One of the most common myths about counselling is that a person that needs a counsellor is weak. Some people want to believe that solving your own problems proves that you are strong and independent. The truth is that almost everyone will face a problem in their lifetime that is too big to handle on their own. There is no shame in finding the help you need. In fact, turning to counselling services can be an act of bravery that proves that you are serious about finding solutions to the problems that you are facing.

Some people may put off calling a counsellor because they believe services are only for crazy people or those who struggle with serious emotional problems. Nothing can be further from the truth. While counselling can be beneficial for those dealing with a severe mental health issue, the majority of people working with a counsellor are smart, capable, and very mentally stable. People search out a counsellor for a variety of reasons and finding resources to help with personal struggles is actually a very sane way to confront life's difficulties.

Another common myth about counselling is that once you start working with a counsellor you'll never be able to quit. People that worry about becoming dependent upon a counsellor or finding themselves having to work sessions into their schedules for the rest of their lives don't understand the purpose or reality of counselling. In fact, most counselling is done on a short term basis and the duration of the services depend greatly upon the patient's goals and the severity of the problems to be dealt with.

Finally, many people avoid counselling because they simply don't believe that it will work. They may believe that counselling is simply the process of talking to a counsellor while that counsellor sits and gives an occasional detached nod. Counselling services involve so much more and a trained, experienced counsellor can be vital in helping people see their lives in a new perspective, learn important life skills, and help discover solutions to the problems that have been weighing them down. Counselling can be very effective and may be the right answer for anyone looking for help in building a happier, more peaceful and productive tomorrow.

Relief Your Stress And Overall Health Through Meditation

In a time when everyone seems to always be in hurry because of heavy working hours, stress is perhaps among the most common concern that people complain about. There are various types of treatments for stress, but some have certain side effects. However, there's a natural way of relieving tension/stress, and that's meditation. It even enhances one's overall well-being.

Understanding Meditation

Meditation traces itself to the thousands of years ago in ancient Indian culture. It was originally employed as a practice for spiritual development. Nowadays, it is primarily used for health purposes, and is considered a type of complementary medicine that include both the body and the mind. There are various classifications of meditation, like tai chi and yoga, but all entail the relaxation of the body and freeing the mind of preoccupations that cause the stress. It allows the body to cool down from everyday hyperactivity and to free it of stress hormones, which can lead to more serious health concerns, like heart disease , high blood pressure, and even mental degradation.

Meditation and Breathing

In meditation controlling one's breathing is a vital element. Through conscious breathing, the body systems are relaxed, thereby preparing the individual for a state of meditation. For example, controlled diaphragmatic breathing calms the nervous system so that one's senses are in sync.

Quick Tips on How to Start Meditating

The First is set the mood. A relaxing environment is very necessary if you want to meditate. You also have to be familiar with the place so you will feel at ease. Few types of meditation use soothing music to set the mood.

Be in a comfortable position. It is necessary that during meditation your posture is one that is most comfortable for you. Some types require a specific position, such as the lotus position, but in general, there really is no required one. As long as you are relaxed in your position, then that's the right one.

Always Focus on one thing. Once you have relaxed and "let go" through conscious breathing, try to focus your attention on a specific object. If not on your breathing, than try focusing on a certain sound. Perhaps the chirping of the birds or the sound of water if you're near flowing water.

Imagine. In meditation, free your inner mind and body, so you can create a pleasant environment in your head. This mental image can enhance the feeling of being at ease in your environment.

It is very easy and practical to perform because it does not require any special paraphernalia. Anybody can perform it as long as the person allows him or herself to let go. It not only remove stress, but also any alarming health issues that stress can lead to. So other than being a stress reliever, meditation could also even be a lifesaver.

Stress- It's Everywhere. We're All Prone To It, Aren't We?

Stress is a statement that happens to be bandied about a great deal, however precisely what is stress and then how do you know if you may be affected and if you are...so what?

The issue with stress is the fact many of us believe we really know what it really is and what it really does so therefore assume that it does apply equally to one and all in the same way... which happens to be wherein the issues commence.

Let us begin with just what stress isnt... it isn't Pressure. Pressure is a primarily positive push, whether internal or external, pressure motivates one to attain a target, it motivates to you to push on, it engages you with an activity. Many people really like pressure and can just be efficient when the pressure really is peaking, other individuals believe that pressure is needless and will not boost success. Also, Stress isn't Burnout. Burnout is actually where a person can not any longer cope with stuff and can hit the wall, physically, emotionally and mentally. Burnout can result in persistent illness.

Stress is on a continuum with Pressure to one side and Burnout on the other. Where it is situated on that continuum will change from individual to person d situation to situation. Stress is typically considered to be extended intervals of pressure when you feel you have very little power over the situation. It is generally when pressure is high in more that one area of your life, you are aware of the feeling when you are relocating home and the dead-line for a job gets pulled forward. That emotion of "trying" to make do is a sure indication that stress is beginning to build, feeling things are slipping out of your control is frequently the key.

So, exactly what are the signals to be aware of that you may be negatively suffering from Stress?

The initial indication is feeling fatigued and worn out, the majority of the time. So exhausted in point of fact that you need to drink an extra shot of espresso or couple of cans of coke to allow you to get through the day. You start to use stimulants to present you with the energy you need to get the day. But not surprisingly this simply means you're vulnerable to mood swings...flying high straight after that coffee and snappy 90 minutes later when its worn off. Eventually of "propping yourself up" with stimulants in the day you find you cant get an excellent night rest...which is frustrating when you are so incredibly tired by this point. You begin to wake up feeling worn-out, so as opposed to cereal for breakfast every day you get a donut, to go with your big coffee.

Sugar.... just how great is sugar to help you cope with stress, just a few treats to pick yourself up...until you commence to put on a few pounds...especially around the middle. Exactly how quickly those couple of pounds could become a half stone or even just a stone. If only you guys had the energy to go to the gymnasium and work it off. But you have also detected that you happen to be picking up every cold and flu virus and bug there is going, continually appear to have some health problem you are trying to shake off. But there is a whole lot on at this time but you still must solider on.

A double espresso and chocolate should do the trick to help you feel better until sleep time. Speaking of which, it is all a no fly zone right now in the sack, even if you had the energy you don't possess the drive and besides which you have a face full of spots and thats not a great look!!

Sound well-known?

If so then you may be under going the effects of stress, exhaustion, sleeplessness, skin conditions, mood swings, fat gain, aches and pains, susceptibility to illness and low sexual desire are just some of the general effects of stress. Not everyone reacts to stress in the same way. But if in case this is you, then now could be time take some action to put straight some of the stressors in your life. Whilst the scenario above may sound less attractive in the short term its annoyingly inconvenient, in the long run it may result in burnout, depression, high blood pressure levels, persistent fatigue, adrenal failure or even heart disease.

Exactly what can you do?

Mention it, keeping feelings bottle up or pretending all things are ok is not helping.

Spend some time to evaluate precisely what is causing the stress, you might figure out by yourself how you could possibly tackle things, but you might have to involve other people to encourage you.

Be kind to yourself, at this point is not the time to pile on the guilt. Should you be feeling that stress is taking its toll it is no representation of you as a particular person or just how tough you are, if anything facing up to the circumstances and acting upon it take extra sureness that to go on and on and simply hope it shows improvements without treatment.

Evaluate the foods you eat, is it supporting you or working against you, remember stress impacts physically as well as mentally and emotionally. Your system needs to have the right meals to ensure that it can repair and revitalize.

Get outside, even when its merely for ten minutes, on a regular basis if not every day then quite as often as you can. leave the mobiles behind and just allow you system to refresh itself. Get pleasure from a few moments of fresh air and peacefulness.

Get more active, activity breeds energy, and even while it could be the last thing you feel like it can help, however pick wisely...a grueling spin class or a 10 mile run may actually be counterproductive as it produces cortisol.

Meditation for Managers

Meditation practice can be the missing link that transcends a command and control management style to a communicative and collaborative one, through the development of empathic employee engagement.

More than 2500 scientific research studies worldwide have revealed the mental and physiological advantages of the mindfulness process. Key benefits include a significant improvement in focus, concentration and attention, greater personal and inter-personal effectiveness, enhanced ability to cope with pressure and stress and maintain a sense of inner peace, balance and presence even in the midst of a busy work life.

Some of the world's leading companies including Google, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Apple Computers, Yahoo and KPMG are leading in mindfulness training for their employees and have reaped the benefits of reduced stress levels, and enhanced performance.

Mindful meditation is the only meditation that has been introduced effectively within the NHS and this is simply because there is now scientific evidence to prove that it does alter brain activity.

How does it work?

Between our thoughts, we have a silent space. Through meditation it is possible to access this space, which is the hub of creativity and healing. When we come out of meditation we bring some of the creative thoughts and healing potential from this gap into our lives. By going back and forth on a regular basis we gradually integrate this creativity and healing throughout our whole physiology. This enhanced state of moment-by-moment awareness then becomes the springboard for more effective, healthier ways of being, working and relating.

The scientific perspective

Brain electrical cycles can be measured and can vary according to what we are doing. There is a 'normal' range of cycles, known as 'beta 'rhythms, for everyday functions and the material world. When we sleep, we are mainly in 'theta' rhythm. Delta rhythms occur in the periods immediately preceding sleep and waking. When during waking consciousness we are being particularly creative, 'alpha' rhythms may be present. Through meditation we may enter other states in which beta rhythms fade, while alpha, delta and theta rhythms become more constant. In such states our physical bodies relax and we may have an expanded awareness that leads to greater insight and intuition.

Drugs may induce these states, but without the benefit of insight and intuition, and with the risk of undesirable side effects.

Science now agrees that meditation can also be a powerful form of stress relief and hundreds of studies have been performed, indicating the following:

Long-term meditators experience 80 percent less heart disease and 50 percent less cancer than non-meditators.75 percent of insomniacs were able to sleep normally when they meditated.Meditation is the only activity that reduces blood lactate, a marker of stress and anxiety. The calming hormones melatonin and serotonin are increased by meditation, and the stress hormone cortisol is decreased.

Mindfulness Research linking Business Benefits

The Research carried out by the American Institute of Health, University of Massachusetts, and the Mind/Body Medical Institute at Harvard University influenced the growth of meditation in the business world. These studies provided a sound empirical base in the following as specific benefits of mindfulness for businesses:

Decrease in stress related costs of staff absenteeismImproved cognitive function - including better concentration, memory, learning ability and creativityEnhanced productivity and improved overall staff and organisational healthReduced staff turnover and associated costsEnhanced employer/employee and client relationshipsA visible and tangible corporate responsibility stanceEnhanced employee job satisfaction

How to meditate

It is recommended that meditation should be done for 10 to 30 minutes a day and after regular practice over 2 months the following results will be noted on a personal and business level.

better able to manage stressful situationssense of well-being and inner peaceImproved concentrationreduction in negative emotions and negative thoughtscreative ideascompassion and empathysense of fulfillmentless dependence on alcohol, nicotine and caffeine

On an organisational level

How to meditate.

Meditation and medication have the same etymological origin, as medication heals the body, and meditation heals the mind (and body too!). However, meditation has no side effects, no costs attached and can be practiced anywhere. If you're one of those people who have always thought about starting to meditate, but haven't got round to it yet, now is the time to start. Begin with 5 minutes and build up to 30 minutes twice a day .Experiment with the following techniques and choose the ones that appeal to you.

Object meditation

Choose a beautiful object like a flower arrangement, tranquil picture or site, lighted candle or anything that is soothing. Focus your attention on it steadily. Study the detail of the object, the colours, shapes, shades etc. Do this for 5 to 10 minutes, then close your eyes and visualise all the detail of the object. This practice is especially good for enhancing concentration clarity and focus. Try it when your thinking is cloudy and cluttered.

Mindfulness Meditation

Begin by sitting comfortably and lowering your eyes. You can sit upright on a chair and it is not necessary to sit cross legged on the floor!

Take your attention into your body and to your breadth. Observe the movement of your breadth in your body, the rise and fall of your chest and abdomen. Now choose a positive word such as calm, relax, peace or the word OM which is traditionally used in meditation. Gently repeat this word in your mind not necessarily to the rhythm of your breadth at your own pace. Your mind may wander to other thoughts, this is normal. As soon as you notice that, gently bring your attention to the word you have chosen to anchor your meditation and carry on.

Continue this way up to 30 minutes, then take your attention off your breathing and just be silent. Wait about two or three minutes before starting your work.

These techniques are easy to integrate and adapt into a busy routine.

Put a little red sticker on your watch, every time you look at your watch, take your attention to your breath and be present with its movement in your body. This will help decrease the adrenalin and dopamine naturally, thus helping your body relax during the day which will help your stress response.

Stop for a few moments when swopping over tasks. For example, you have come in from a meeting and are about to check your emails. Stop for 2 minutes, taking the attention to your breath and connect with the breathing rhythm or keep your attention on something soothing on your desk such as a calming picture, flowers or lighted candle( take care of health and safety regulations with a lighted candle).

Stop for a few minutes on your way from work or home, take in and fully engage with nature, the trees, flowers and its vibrant colours.

How many hours of television do you watch, or do things that are unnecessary. Take some time out of these activities and replace this with regular meditative practice.

Managers often feel they have to keep control of things all the time. It is important to give yourself the permission to let go for a few minutes in a day in a meditative state, to rest and recuperate from the pressures of leading and managing. This time which is taken out is soon recovered in enhanced concentration, sharper swifter decision making, more energy, and improved relationships through empathic communication, and all that without extra costs!

How Can a Hot Tub Help You to Manage Stress And Fatigue?

For centuries people of different cultures from american Indians to tough Russians and spiritual Asians used the benefits of water therapy and steam. For sure the kind of stress those ancients were experiencing is totally different from the type of stress we have in our modern life, and their water treatments were mostly focused towards honoring traditions and simple hygiene. But despite all distinctions, the outcome of these procedures was the same - purity, relaxation, healing and good rest. Soaking in a Wooden Hot Tub 2-5 times a week will not only improve your look by clearing out your skin and removing all the impurities from your body, giving you that healthy glow, but it will also assure you have a strong immune system and are filled with positive emotions.

Are You Looking To Learn Meditation?

In the modern world everything seems to happen so fast that we can struggle to keep up mentally. Did I text my friend, have I checked my Facebook account, how many tasks must be finished by the deadline in work, does the car need a service, do I need to catch up on any TV series, and many other things that just mount up on a daily basis causing us constant stress? This is not good for the body as research has shown that constant stress has a physical effect which can lead to things like high blood pressure and heart disease later in life.

If any of that describes your life then you are probably at the point of wanting to do something about. You could change jobs, move house, throw away the TV, get new friends, but to be honest, none of these are really going to happen are they? There is another way though, you can learn to meditate. Research has shown that meditation, even for only 15 minutes a day, can lower stress levels and this has a positive effect on both your mental and physical state.

One of the best ways to learn meditation is to join a local group. You can search the internet to see if any groups exist near you, but do not worry if none exist as meditating on your own is not a problem, and you can even setup your own group and advertise it locally. A lot of information now exists on the internet on the best ways to go about learning how to meditate and you can even watch videos these days on sites like YouTube.

All mediation involves is relaxing and clearing the mind, although in some cases people find that visualizing something such as the waves washing over a beach can help. You can also use easy sounding background noise such as birds singing or whale sounds. You may need to try a few things to discover which works best for you.

By clearing your mind this will automatically help relax the body and relieve you of any stress you have. Once you come out of your mediation you will feel so much better and this will make your life much more enjoyable and less stressful. For people who suffer from aches and pains many have discovered that mediating daily can relieve them of some of the symptoms. You have nothing to lose by giving this a go and may have a lot to gain.

A Surprising Way to Get Rid of Stress

Have you ever thought that, what you eat can closely relate to the stress in your life? The truth is, irrespective of how you see it, both of them are related. In fact, there are quite a lot of stuffs you can do to help you tackle your stress, short of using food as a getaway. Getting Rid of Stress How are your diet and stress related? When you're under stress you're more likely to either stuff your face or lose your appetite. When you're on either side of these extremities you can adversely cause your blood glucose levels to shoot up (or drop drastically) and aggravates your mood swings, which in turn causes your stress to be intensified. Sadly, most people are not aware of how their wellbeing can be affected when they abuse food! As soon as you know of your stress response, you can decide on how to change it.Food isn't a cure for stress, but it can reduce it if used properly. Healthy eating can go a long way in ensuring your body gets all the essential nutrients it needs for optimum daily bodily functions. Simply put, when you eat healthy foods, your body will have the strength to tackle most of the everyday stressful situations. When your diet is usually rich in sugars and fats, your body will not get all of the essential nutrients and energy needed to tackle stress, but instead, you're more likely to feel moody, lethargic or anxiety.Stress lowers the immune system, while the right foods can enhance it. Many studies on stress were done and it's proven that it plays a big part in weakening our immune system, exposing us to the various viruses, bacteria, and ailments. It's also been proven that eating the right foods can help the body build a strong immune system. When you check out all of the manners where stress and diet are interlinked, it's difficult not to take notice that what you eat actually affect how you think, feel and response. Therefore, an improper diet not only stresses your body, but your mind too. It's a good start to assess your daily diet and make one change each day to eliminate one unhealthy food to create that healthy living that had eluded you for too long. Both a healthy and balanced diet can help you better manage your stress, but by just eating right is inadequate to help you overcome it. In fact, there are many other things that can effectively help keep your stress under control and manageable such as: Getting enough (between 6 to 8 hours, depending on your age) during the night.Spend time for relaxation.Get support for any task you undertake.Know your tolerant thresholds.Adopt an effective planning and managing system.Ability to say no to anything you're not comfortable with. These are some of the stress-reducing measures, apart from eating the right foods that will help you cut down the stress level in your life. Even if you include even just some of these measures into your daily life, you'll be pleasantly surprised that your once stressful life will now be transformed into a stress free life! What is The Cause of Our Ills And What Can we Do About It?

In our crazy moving life we are very used to physically, psychologically and emotionally take on much more than we actually should and can bear. Tearing apart between our careers, families and personal goals, running here and there - from office to the gym, from kindergarten to supermarket, from trains to plains. We are in such a rush to get everything done, that we fail to notice how slowly we are getting done with ourselves. If you continue to steal those precious hours of rest on a weekend away from yourself, stress will pay you back - you will need months of therapy to live again. Chronic stress is a very dangerous thing to play with - you can never know your limits for sure, and it can strike you at any given moment that you realize - you can not go on, you can not continue.

Good news are - progress waits for no one so researches were made, studies were taken, people were asked. Now we know what helps, stops and cures our wretched souls and bodies. Firstly, we need to take a break when it is possible before it is necessary. We need to quit playing games with our health, because we are no iron man or women, we are gentle creatures, and even if we can take our powers and capabilities to the limits, we need to know those limits and never cross them.

Take your time to cherish yourself, and always have enough sleep. Remember - if you exhaust yourself to the stage of vegetable - there will be no way you will be able to keep up with your tasks. So again - take you time, plan it better, have a break occasionally. And when you have those precious moments of peace - pamper yourself, visit a Spa or Wellness center, meditate or take it to the next level and dip in a Hot Tub. Wooden Hot Tubs are known to be helpful with a list of health issues, including stress management, chronic pains, depression and burn out syndrome.

To give yourself a better idea, try to imagine a wooden font that smells like forest, filled with bubbling hot water. For example, Baltresto company makes Wooden Hot Tubs with build-in jacuzzi and light system, which gives you a chance to experience a hot bath, an air message and a color therapy in 30 minutes while you sit in a font. Find a way to try those Wooden Hot Tubs just once, and believe me - you will be in love for ever. Investing in a wooden hot tub just once you will invest in your health and wellbeing for years and years ahead of you, and secure yourself a chance to have a personal Spa in your garden.

Fighting Stress for a Better Life!

As the amount of stress sufferers gets higher and higher, their age gets lower and lower every year. When you are a stressed-out parent, it can be twice as hard to balance your life and not get crazy as if you are all by yourself. At some point kids can be your stress relief actually, but in a day-to-day life it is a lot more common that they become cause not the remedy.

Studies show that stress is actually a contagious disease. If you spend time with nervous people, who struggle with shaky hands and these typical "computer-red" eyes, it is very possible that soon you will also be more impatient, more weak and wrecked. So you can imagine how kids and teenagers get affected by workaholic parents, for whom they can easily become scapegoats.

For family it is very important to have something in common. Some kind of traditional event or ritual like going on a trip together every couple of months, or just having relaxed dinner every saturday. What else you can do is to install a Wooden Hot Tub in your back yard and simply have a soak with your beloved ones. It is a simple yet enjoyable exercise, which can help you with both nerves and your family issues. Simple Ways To End Worries And Start Living

Stress is becoming one of the most common health concerns these days mainly due to the type of lifestyle people have adopted which gives them very little time for themselves. Being regularly stressed out can easily lead to falling prey to many diseases which could be both physical and psychological. In this article we are going to discuss about some of the things one can do to avoid stress and lead a happy and healthy life throughout.

Breath Control

Our breathing plays a very vital and important role in calming down our nerves and making us feel better. One of the effective ways to counter stress response is to count the length of time of exhale and inhale and gradually increasing the exhale timing. If it takes you four seconds to inhale try to exhale slowly through 8 seconds. Generally taking 10 such breaths will help a great deal in calming down your mind and body.

Sing To Relax

If you find it difficult to sit quite and count your deep breaths then another alternative to relaxation is to sing which produces an almost similar effect and promotes a feeling of soothness and enhanced mood. It is because when we are singing we naturally lengthen or exhaling and inhaling process. The best thing about this method is that it can be done in any place like while driving, in the bathroom and anywhere you like and feel comfortable.

Water Intake

You would be most probably unaware of the fact then when our hydration levels drop by just 2% our ability to perform simple maths and take normal decisions starts to get affected negatively. A well hydrated body has a better ability to take right decisions. So whenever you feel the need have as much water as you like.

Bring Your Mind Back

This is also an effective way to relieve stress. Close your eyes and concentrate on what is happening inside your body. Feel the sensations bring your mind from outside world to inside your own body. Doing this will help you concentrate better and make you forget all your worries for a little while and make you rejuvenated.

Humor

We all know how refreshing humor is for our mind and body. Having a good laugh is the best remedy to beat stress and depression. Keep in touch with your friends and share with them all the good times. Learn to laugh at your problems , it is the best way to tackle them positively. When we have a positive attitude towards things we normally win over all situations.

So the basic message is to slow down and take time out for yourself because you came into this world to enjoy your life which is a beautiful gift of god so stop worrying and start living from this very moment itself.

Ways To Relieve Stress Naturally And Effectively

Stress is the reaction of the body (emotionally, mentally or physically) toward any change requiring response and adjustment. It can come from various sources such as events that happen around you or the things that you subject yourself to. Stress can be positive as it makes you alert and ready to respond particularly to danger. It becomes negative when you constantly face challenges with no relief and relaxation in between. It is here when stress becomes distress that causes physical symptoms such as high blood pressure, upset stomach, acne flare-ups, headaches and sleeping problems; or even aggravates already present diseases. Good thing, there are many ways to relieve stress effectively and naturally.

Counting Breath Length

To calm the sympathetic nervous system, breathe deeply and try to make breathing in and out of air to have relatively equal duration. Count how long you inhale and exhale air and slowly lengthen the duration for exhaling in order combat stress response. If you inhale for three seconds, extend your exhale for about six seconds to help calm your body.

Express Yourself Through Singing

If breath counting seems unappealing and boring for you, you have another option that is more fun and creative: singing or humming tunes. Actually, singing or humming can actually help prolong your breathing out of air.

Drinking More Water

For a small decrease of about two percent of the body's proper hydration level, you can expect that your ability to make decisions and do simple math processes will already be affected. Staying well hydrated will ensure that your brain will work efficiently. While working on your desk, always keep a pint-sized water container from which you can constantly sip and drink water for your hydration.

Feeling Your Body's Sensations

When you are feeling too anxious, try to redirect your attention to other things such as your body. Practice a simple meditation technique where you will simply close your eyes and then mentally scan your body from head to feet. Try to turn your attention to the sensations your body feels. This can help give you instant calming effect.

Revisiting Old Fun Memories

You can also escape your stressful thoughts by trying to recall your fondest and happiest memories. If you have old photos of great times in your life such as when you had a holiday excursion with your family; it would help to simply look at these photos to reminisce how happy you were at that time. This will help shift your attention from your gloomy situation.

Laughing Out Loud

Laughter is indeed a cure for almost all sicknesses, including stress. Laughing or humor is, in fact, the opposite of stress. When under stress, you are engaged emotionally to whatever causes your stress. Find an escape from this situation through humor. It will be great to be in the company of funny friends or people. You can also purchase a book filled with jokes. You can also just connect to the internet where you may find funny video clips that will help induce a hearty laugh from you.

Don't Work Too Much and Avoid Being Stressed

If you didn't know yet, the working stress could bring a lot of diseases, and the first symptoms are dizziness and terrible headaches. Too much work can get you very tired and you can't sleep well anymore, which is destroying your health over time leading to weakness of the immune system and also some disease caused by the higher level of stress. Also, if you work in an office then you might feel neck pain which is very disturbing, also making the asleep impossible. Also, the stress can cause severe problems to the nervous system, making you angry and anxious every time of the day. If you want to avoid this then you should be careful how you work and try to avoid struggling too much at your working place. Also, make sure that you sleep as much as you can and if you feel that you have insomnia, there are some pills which will make you sleep well.

These problems are very frequently seen at people over 35 years old, especially at those who are working in offices. On the other hand, too much time spent at computer might cause vision problems, and again the symptom of dizziness can appear too. When you work and you feel tired stop working for ten minutes and go outside if you can. Another good idea to lower the level of the stress and to have a healthy body is to take some fruits with you, and when you're hungry eat a sandwich and an apple too. Another interesting fact is that the apples are offering more energy than the coffee.

On the other hand, the long walks are very helpful for eliminating the stress from your body. The physical problems are frequently appearing from the excess of work, especially low back pain, which can also affect the kidneys. Be careful how you work and make sure that you have ideal working conditions. Also, even if you want more money and you try to work more hours per day, stop doing it, because you'll destroy your health and your immune system, and, in time your nervous system will collapse.

A lot of people died because they worked too much and the level of stress was too high. The diagnosis is very simple: stroke. The blood is not reaching the brain anymore, because the brain is overused with work ignoring the rest of the body. The eyes will start to tear, you'll feel dizzy, and, at the end you die without feeling it. If you want to avoid medical problems caused by the stress excess, make sure that you're finding some helpful methods to calm your nerves and don't run from sleep. It's recommended to sleep over 8 hours per night and try to respect that if you want a clear mind and a healthy body. If you maintain your body in shape you can work more, and you'll get tired harder than a normal person.

Panic Attacks - How to Stop Them

Panic Attacks are by far one of the most fearful experiences one can have. Those who experience it for the first time and have no idea what's going on can actually end up thinking the worst. Meaning, that some people believe that throughout the attack there is an impending death, they're going crazy, heart attack, or nervous breakdown. However, there are certain techniques to reduce panic attacks and get rid of them completely.

What is a Panic Attack?

A Panic Attack is moment of intense fear or uncertainty. The attack usually lasts several minutes and, if repeated one after the other, can be described as a disorder. However, rather the most frightening aspects occur during the attack where one feels as if he's losing his/her sanity, or about to die. This can result in further panic and have blood leave the brain and move over to critical parts of the body as forms of "defense." Some of the symptoms include:

Chest painHot/Cold FlashesBurning sensationIncreased heartbeathyperventilationlight-headedness

Of course, there are several more that you can look up. However, I should mention something which touches on me personally which is the lump in the throat or ball in the throat syndrome. After panic attacks I get a ball in the throat, yet it feels more like a thought than an actual physical problem. However, after some research I realized that this is a form of acid reflux. Most victims of Panic Attacks will immediately assume the worst, and believe that the ball in the throat is indeed throat cancer, but that might not be necessarily true. Although if you have real suspicions you should see a doctor.

Why do People Have Panic Attacks

There could be many reasons why one has a panic attack. This can be from heredity reasons, meaning that if a parent had panic attacks you could as well. Alongside this an over cautious education of the parents can lead the child to develop a negative view of the world. Short term triggering causes, can be a leading factor to panic attacks. This includes the more uncomfortable situations in our lives (break ups, death in the family, losing your job, etc.) Also, those who constantly worry about the future and build "what-if" situations can be highly prone to panic attacks. Other causes can include taking new types of medication, drug/alcohol withdrawal, or chronic diseases (which in most cases will lead the individual to guess why he's having these attacks and should probably consult a doctor).

How to Stop Panic Attacks

If a disorder, Panic Attacks should be handled professionally by psychological therapy and different forms of medication which can help the brain deal with such attacks.

However, a more hands-on approach that call can do is called the 5-2-5 breathing exercise. This helps reduce panic attacks by stopping hyperventilation. To do this, you must breath through your stomach rather than the chest. Take 5 seconds to inhale, hold your breath for 2 seconds with the stomach out, and then let out the air for 5 seconds. You can do this 30 minutes a day, a long with healthy eating and proper sleeping to help reduce panic attacks. Caffeine withdrawal can be a leading reason to panic attacks.
